ABOUT THE PROJECT

Have you ever imagined how people lived in old Riga? You can hear about its medieval grandeur in history books and see the city panorama in wood and copper engravings, but in modern times only a dozen building and the narrow winding old town city streets are left to tell its tale.

The project goal is to create a hypothetical digital reconstruction of 16th century medieval Riga. In its context we look at Brick-Gothic architectural style examples that were present in Norther German and the Baltic region of this period, artwork and historical reconstructions, so, by utilizing modern digital technologies could visualize life and architecture of  medieval Riga.
